This Privacy Policy explains how CRE Circuit ("we," "us," "our"), operated by CRE Circuit LLC, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use crecircuit.com and our subscription service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, company/organization name, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
• Payment information: when you subscribe, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store your full credit card number on our own servers. See Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy for how they handle this data.
• Billing address: collected at checkout to calculate applicable sales tax, if any, based on your location. This is processed by Stripe on our behalf.
• Team information: if you're on a Team or Enterprise plan, we collect the email addresses of teammates you invite
• Event follow-up tracking: if you use the Service's post-event lead tracking feature, we store the number of new contacts you log per event and your own follow-up status (e.g., "entered in CRM," "contacted"). We do not collect or store the names, contact details, or any other identifying information about the individual contacts themselves — only the aggregate count and your status checkboxes.
• Any information you submit through support requests or contact forms

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, event filters applied, login timestamps
• Device/browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system
• No analytics are used on the site

Information from third parties:

• If event data is manually entered by CRE Circuit administrators based on publicly available third-party association calendars, that data (event names, dates, locations) is not personal information about you, but is worth noting as a data source in this policy for completeness.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send you service-related communications (password resets, billing receipts, trial-ending reminders, team invite emails)
• Respond to support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the product
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect it: Stripe (payment processing and billing), Resend (transactional email delivery — password resets, team invites, billing notices), Neon (database hosting), and Vercel (application hosting)
• Your team members, if you're on a Team or Enterprise plan — teammates on the same account can see shared account information such as team roster and attendance markings, but not your individual login credentials
• Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CRE Circuit or others
• Business transfers: if CRE Circuit is acquired, merged, or sells its assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same or comparable privacy protections

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If your account is canceled or deleted, we retain your account and usage data for 90 days following cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems. This grace period allows for account recovery if a cancellation was made in error, and for standard billing/dispute resolution timeframes. Backups may persist for a limited additional period as part of routine disaster-recovery processes before being fully purged.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to our legitimate business and legal retention needs)
• Opt out of non-essential marketing communications (transactional emails like password resets and billing receipts cannot be opted out of while your account is active)

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Service uses cookies necessary for basic functionality (e.g., keeping you logged in).

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business professionals and is not directed at, nor knowingly used by, individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International Users

The Service is intended for use by professionals in the Seattle and Portland metropolitan areas within the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
